Our newest location at the historic Nut Tree Village in Vacaville houses our state-of-the-art Repair Shop. Watch the jewelers at work while they create beautiful designs or refurbish your Grandmother's heirloom. Most repairs are done on site using the latest in technology, such as our Laserstar® laser workstation.

Johnnie Thornton was raised in the jewelry business, and by the age of fifteen, he knew that jewelry designing was going to be his passion. Johnnie has studied under European designers and attended numerous designing academies, and brings more than 30 years of experience to the bench. He has won International awards for his unique custom designs and loves to create one-of-a-kind pieces for our stores. Being the Head Goldsmith, he oversee's repairs and production for all three locations.

Fernando Del Rio Jr. has been working for Thornton & Sons for 20 years and works alongside his tutor, Johnnie Thornton. As well as his onsite training, he has attended jewelry repair academies to further his knowledge. Fernando loves his profession, stating that he is always learning and that the rewards of his job are endless. The pride he has, truly shows in the care he gives each treasure he works on.

Jon Burris G.G. A.J.P. is a graduate of the esteemed Gemological Institute of America's Graduate Gemologist program. The academic credentials earned at GIA are respected by gem & jewelry professionals around the world. Jon has worked for Thornton & Sons for 8 years & continues to further his education to bring the most to his role of Appraiser. He enjoys the satisfaction of revealing the identity & value of the jewelry he appraises. Jon works out of our Dixon store.
