Thornton & Sons Jewelers exists to satisfy its customers. We are happy to assist you with your past or
future purchases. We will gladly exchange a purchase for different merchandise or a store credit that can be
used at a later date within 30 days of purchase. No refunds are given on purchases.
We regret that special orders are not returnable and that no refund or exchange can be made. A special order
constitutes any jewelry, watch or gift item ordered, custom-made, or altered at the customers request. Every
effort will be made on special orders and custom work to obtain the customers satisfaction.
Watch repairs are not performed on the premises and are subject to a non-refundable shipping fee starting from $10
(depending on value) in addition to the estimate for repair. All watches that are overhauled and cleaned are
warrented for 1(one) year from completion date. The warranty does not cover watches that have been tampered with
or if the watch shows signs of rust resulting from water damage. We are not responsible for worn or broken parts
that are not necessary to replace at the time of the overhaul. There are no warranties on crystals, stems or crowns,
or watchbands. Once a water-resistant watch has been opened to change the battery, it may no longer be resistant to
water. Thornton & Sons Jewelers does not warranty any watch for water resistance unless it has undergone a pressure
test after the battery change. This takes additional time and there is a fee.
Layaway/COD accounts require a 20% deposit and will be held for no more than 12(twelve) months from the date of purchase.
Monthly payments are required. If payments are not made monthly as agreed and no satisfactory arrangements have been
otherwise agreed to, the item(s) will be returned to stock and are subject to a 10% restocking fee and labor fees if
the item(s) were modified. The balance of the original deposit and subsequent payments received will be applied to store
credit only which can be used towards the purchase of other merchandise or services.
Regular accounts are subject to a credit check for approval and require a 20% deposit. Interest is charged at a rate
of 1.5% per month, 18% annually, 30 days after the initial purchase. Monthly payments of 10% are required.
This account is subject to a credit check for approval and is only available for purchases over $499. A 20% deposit is
required and the balance is broken into 3(three) equal payments. If the account is not paid in full after 3(three) months, the account
will accrue interest at a rate of 1.5% per month, 18% annually.
This account is subject to a credit check for approval and is only available for purchases over $999. A 20% deposit is required and
the balance is broken into 6(six) equal payments. If the account is not paid in full after 6(six) months, the account will
accrue interest
at a rate of 1.5% per month, 18% annually.
Thornton & Sons Jewelers is happy to allow its customers to trade back diamond merchandise only at any time in the future. Proof of
original purchase from Thornton & Sons, such as a receipt or other supporting paperwork, is required. We will apply the full
original purchase price (less sales tax) towards your new item as long as the new item is at least double in value.
Gift certificates may be purchased at any location for any denomination.
As with anything of value that you own, we recommend regular inspections every 3(three) to 6(six) months to keep your fine jewelry in
optimum condition. A thorough cleaning and inspection is offered at no charge.
Returned checks are subject to a $25.00 fee.
